Danny Headley
J&M Tank Lines proudly announces its newest Spotlight Driver, 9-year veteran, Danny Headley. Danny works out of our Calera terminal hauling lime across the Southeast. Danny was nominated this month because of his pliability and willingness to be a team player.
“He shows up every day with a smile on his face and goes out of his way to help other drivers if they have any issues; a real team player with a great attitude,” says Corporate Dispatcher Pam Blalock.
Q: What makes you a team player?
I view being a part of a team like a chain. If you get a broken part in the chain, it stops working properly. When I see something that needs to be done, or I can help a team member to make things move faster or more efficiently, my motto is to not break the chain, jump in there and do it. I like to keep the flow going and I hate complication.
Q: What is your favorite part of working for J&M?
The relaxation is my favorite part of working here. I have worked a lot of places, but J&M has been the best. They know what they are doing and they hire experienced drivers and dispatchers. My relationship with the dispatchers and the company is healthy and there is a strong level of trust and communication. Whenever I have issues, I know I can count on J&M to help me get the problem resolved.
Q: Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?
I see myself here at J&M doing the same thing; grinding. I like the go, go, go. When I have time, I like to go out fishing for bass on my boat.
Q: What would you say to someone thinking of becoming a J&M Driver?
Stick with it! Give it a chance. Don’t be quick to judge it. Eventually, you will find out that you can make your own schedule.
Q: What is your dream truck?
I would have to say a Kenworth with a big sleeper! I love my T680!
Congratulations Danny on being chosen as a J&M Tank Lines Spotlight Driver! Thank you for all of your hard work and for being such an amazing team player!
